Chojin Enma is ruler of the Chojin Graveyard, and he will dispatch Omegaman Dexia to capture any Chojin that escape from the Graveyard. Under the identity of Strong the Budo, he leads the Perfect Large Numbers. His costume is nearly identical to Big the Budo's. His true identity is The Man, the founder of the Perfect Chojin from ages past and the descended form of the Chojin God once known as the God of Compassion.

About[]

Strong The Budo was initially a Chojin God called the God of Compassion. He was the only Chojin God opposed to the plan of wiping out all chojin, after the first ones they created started senselessly killing each other. He believed there could be "True Chojin" with true talent, and they would not take part in the bloodshed (that could wipe them out undeservedly). He also believed that a god cannot make flawed creations. He even volunteered to give up his godhood and become a chojin himself so that he could find the Chojin Gods; they gave him seven days to gather these chojin so they could be spared from the Capillaria Rays that would wipe out all other chojin. These chojin would turn out to be the Perfect Origin.

He trained his Perfect Origin, as time went on, and overlooked the chojin World. He also periodically led purges on any chojin killing others unjustly, with the first purge being at Unforgiven Yggdrasil. Over time, he grew paranoid about his own Perfect Origin becoming tainted and imperfect (from contact with Inferior Chojin), as such, he erased any trace of the Perfect Origin on the surface. He also has Mont Sont Parfait and the Chojin Graveyard constructed, so that he can still control chojin behind the scenes, while also keeping his own Perfect Origin free from imperfect influence.

This paranoia over his Origin becoming imperfect led to chojin genocides, and the hubris he had acquired from being unbeatable culminated in him planning to exterminate all inferior Chojin who had the Fire of Inner Strength. He planned to do this by using the Three Chojin Factions Peace Treaty as a pretext for conflict. This conflict spans the entire Perfect Origin Arc and ends in Budo losing to Akuma Shogun as well as being forced to abolish immortality among Perfect Chojin. He is also to be locked away in the Chojin Graveyard until the day he dies.

History[]

Prehistory[]

Strong the Budo was originally known as "The Man", who was the first Perfect Origin to give up his godlike status to save the world. [1] He was there to witness the Seven Capillaria Rays eradicate all chojin, and it was he who protected the chojin that were chosen to survive. [2] He also laid witness to the Unforgivable Yggdrasil, as it protected more chojin than intended, which led to a dispute about how to handle the surviving chojin, sparking a conflict between Silverman and Goldman, with Silverman becoming the ancestor of the Kinniku Clan. [2] He later went on to create the Chojin Graveyard and rename himself Chojin Enma. [1]

Kinnikuman (2011)[]

Perfect Origin Arc[]

Prehistory[]

Strong the Budo arrives during the peace treaty signing between the Perfect, Justice, and Devil Chojin, and is joined by the Perfect Large Numbers. [3] He is initially mistaken as Big the Budo by Harabote Muscle and others, and - taking offence at the mistaken identity - attacks Specialman. [4] He proceeds to attack other Justice Chojin, and declares the peace treat void, as it was signed by Neptuneman (who is no longer considered a representative of the Perfect Chojin). He destroys the peace treaty, at which point Geronimo attacks Strong the Budo, who punches him in the mouth and destroys his vocal cords, effectively rendering his Apache War Cry useless. [4]

Tileman later tries to attack Max Radial, but Strong the Budo intervenes and turns him - along with Benkiman and Curry Cook - into humans as punishment for failing to live to Perfect Chojin standards. [5] Terryman then attacks Strong the Budo in retaliation. [5] Strong the Budo declares a tournament, in which the Justice Chojin must defeat all seven of the Perfect Large Numbers. [6] He produces seven cards for Terryman, which allow him to pick at random his first competitor: Max Radial. [6] After Max Radial is defeated by Terryman, Strong the Budo offers him a kendo sword, which Max Radial uses to commit suicide. [7]

Tournament[]

The remaining six Perfect Large Numbers form a large machine-gun, and shoot themselves out of the machine-gun. [7] They create six holes in the stadium, which lead to their six rings and match-locations. [8] Strong the Budo arrives in the Grand Canyon, USA, where the ring hangs over the abyss. [9] Instead of Terryman, The Mountain challenges Strong the Budo in his place. [9]

Strong the Budo vs. The Mountain[]

The Mountain starts the match with a Mountain Drop. [9] Strong the Budo is pinned by the Mountain and is unable to move. [10] Strong the Budo later pauses in his match to chastise Peek-a-Boo. [11]

He stands astride the Mountain, as he declares Peek-a-Boo should commit suicide for his failure, and - as Peek-a-Boo states his intention to be a Justice Chojin - Strong the Budo blames Kinnikuman for "corrupting" the Perfect Chojin, with this as proof that the chojin race must be exterminated. He proceeds to karate chop the Mountain's face. [11] Strong the Budo attacks violently with a series of chops, as he seeks to show Peek-a-Boo what will be in store for him, and the Mountain finally catches one of Strong the Budo's arms. [12]

The Mountain catches a series of blows, before using an inner-thigh throw. The string of Terryman's boot breaks, as the Mountain climbs the corner post and uses his Mountain Drop technique. Strong the Budo stops this technique with a kick to the Mountain's torso. A strong punch from Strong the Budo leaves a crater-like hole on the Mountain's chest, after which he breaks off the Mountain's left leg with a low-kick. A Budo Rock-Crushing Claw allows Strong the Budo to lift the Mountain and slam him into the canvas. [12]

Even with half of his face now destroyed, and one leg, the Mountain tries to stand. Strong the Budo tries to turn the Mountain into a human as punishment for his failure in battle, but the Mountain would rather die as a chojin than live as a human. [12] The Mountain uses an armpit-lock, at which point all of Terryman's shoelace snap at the same time. [13] Strong the Budo throws the Mountain to the ropes, before using a Perfect-Warrior Helmet-Breaker. This breaks apart the Mountain's head and downs him.

Strong the Budo poses the Mountain's body in a funeral pose. [12]

Strong the Budo proceeds to goad Buffaloman, by stating that he knows Akuma Shogun as a close friend, but - during his speech - the Mountain finds enough strength to grab Strong the Budo in a lock, as the suspended ring snaps from its holdings. Together, they descend into the Canyon. [14]

Interim[]

Strong the Budo later recovers consciousness in the Grand Canyon. [15]

He tosses The Mountain's arm back upon his corpse, before he flies out of the Canyon. [16] He reappears at the Silver Pavilion in Kyoto, and attacks Kinnikuman, after which he proceeds to take him - by air - to the National Stadium. [16] He summons forth the Unforgivable Yggdrasil. [2] He explains that when the Seven Capillary Rays eradicated all chojin, with only a few chosen spared, and that he was there to see the Unforgivable Yggdrasil protect more chojin than intended, as he is indeed the Chojin Enma. [2][1]

It was Chojin Enma that protected the chosen chojin, until they became the Perfect Origin. There was a disagreement among the Perfect Origin about how to deal with the survivors that were not picked, which led to the conflict between Silverman and Goldman, with Silverman becoming the ancestor of the Kinniku Clan. [2] Chojin Enma was originally known as "The Man", who was the first Perfect Origin to give up his godlike status to save the world. [1] Akuma Shogun challenges Strong the Budo, but Nemesis stops them. [1]

Nemesis will not allow harm to befall Strong the Budo, and is supported by Psychoman, Justiceman, and Ganman. [17] The leaders of the remaining three factions gather together: Justice Chojin, Devil Chojin, and Perfect Chojin. [17] Strong the Budo allows for the Universal Chojin Committee to oversee a new tournament, and reveals multiple rings upon the Yggdrasil. [18] Strong the Budo is separated from Akuma Shogun, and both are given special boxes to overlook the upcoming matches between their two factions. [19]

At the end of the tournament, Strong the Budo leaves for Koshien Stadium, where the final match between Nemesis and Kinnikuman shall be held. [20] Just before the battle, Strong the Budo confides in Nemesis that he sees him as a successor to his role as leader of the Perfect Chojin and is proud of him. [21] When Nemesis loses his battle, Strong the Budo prepares to take his life. [22] Peek-a-Boo and Neptuneman confront Strong the Budo in Nemesis' defence, leading Strong the Budo to challenge Neptuneman over the matter of whether Nemesis should live or die, until Akuma Shogun challenges Strong the Budo. [22]

The Man vs. Akuma Shogun[]

Akuma Shogun faces Strong the Budo at the Ayers Rock in Australia. [23]

Strong the Budo summons forth a ring from the rocks. [23] It also creates bleachers and a television screen, at which point Strong the Budo throws his sword to where the highest point of the rock would have stood. [24] The match will begin when the sun rises above the sword. This allows Peek-a-Boo, Nemesis and Neptuneman to reach the ring in time, and this is followed by Buffaloman and Sunshine.

Kinnikuman and Meat follow afterwards, where they find the bleachers filled with spectators. Strong the Budo reveals that he once trained Akuma Shogun, and the results of the match will determine whose ideals should govern the chojin world: Devil Chojin or Perfect Chojin. Harabote Muscle and Knock arrives to referee. [24]

Akuma Shogun and Strong the Budo rush towards each other. [25] Akuma Shogun starts with the upper-hand, as he lands a barrage of blows, before slamming him into the canvas. He slams Strong the Budo's head into the stone ring, but Strong the Budo is able to counter with his legs alone. Akuma Shogun uses the ropes to counter with a kick, but Strong the Budo uses a Lariat, which enables Akuma Shogun to use a corner-post to use a Body Press, only to be countered in turn with a back-flip. The two exchange various attacks. [25]

Strong the Budo appears to finally gain an advantage, stating that his pupil could never surpass him, but Akuma Shogun counters once more, but a shoulder-tackle knocks Akuma Shogun down at the corner of the ring. [26] Akuma Shogun regains his composure and uses a Canadian Destroyer, before using a Daisetsuzan Drop. This is following by a Double Arm-Spin Assault. Akuma Shogun attempts a Nine Point Seal, but Strong the Budo deflects it and break free. He proceeds to use a Double Knee Crusher. [26]

After being downed, Strong the Budo starts to absorb Akuma Shogun's Chojin Power. [26] Meat reveals that Strong the Budo is seeking to turn Akuma Shogun into a human. [27] Strong the Budo uses a Chojin Compressor, but Akuma Shogun breaks free and uses a Hell's Guillotine. This is broken by a Hell Neck-Breaker Chop, but Akuma Shogun survives the move by using Diamond Hardness. [27]

Akuma Shogun goes on to use his Diamond Sword technique. [28] He lands two cuts on Strong the Budo's abdomen, and follows with a Hellish Merry-go-Round, but Strong the Budo stops him by taking a hold of both his swords in his bare hands. Strong the Budo also uses his Chojin Hardness, before raising it to Diamond Level. He follows this with a Flawless Lock-Up Hold. Akuma Shogun counters by changing his Hardness Level to Zero, and escapes with a Soft Body. [28] Strong the Budo uses a Budo Rock Crush Claw. [29]

Akuma Shogun escapes the move and uses a Skull Crush. In desperation, Strong the Budo bashes his head - with Akuma Shogun still around it - against the corner-post. This shakes Akuma Shogun loose. Strong the Budo uses a Helmet Breaker, and uses Army Decimate Slam, as both men turn to Diamond Level Hardness. [29][30] This triggers the countdown, as Akuma Shogun is downed on the canvas. [30]

He rises on the count of seven, and Strong the Budo tries to steal his power again. [30] Akuma Shogun is powered by the desire to overcome his old mentor, something akin to Friendship Power, and seeks to surpass him by finding a Hardness Level beyond Diamond. [31] He changes to Hardness Level 10: Sharp. [31] This is followed by a Lonsdaleite Power. [32] This power allows Akuma Shogun to defend against Strong the Budo and cause him damage, despite his own Diamond Power, and Akuma Shogun uses a General Discs.

This is followed by a Lonsdaleite Clothesline, which breaks through the diamonds on Strong the Budo. [32] The two exchange a series of blows, until Akuma Shogun attempts another Lonsdaleite Clothesline, but Strong the Budo manages to block the attack. [33] Akuma Shogun lights up the skies with Lonsdaleite Power, as Strong the Budo uses an Army Decimate Power. The move destroys Strong the Budo's knee, while the Lonsdaleite Power protects Akuma Shogun. Akuma Shogun continues with a double-arm spin. [33]

Akuma Shogun uses his Lonsdaleite Power again to create a new hold. [34] He uses a New Hell's Guillotine, also known as the God's Guillotine, and this destroys Strong the Budo's disguise, revealing his original form as The Man. [34] Strong the Budo congratulates Akuma Shogun, before being down for the count. [35] Akuma Shogun attempts to kill Strong the Budo in his victory, but Kinnikuman stops him. [35]

Kinnikuman argues that both men have learned the ideals of Justice Chojin, and Akuma Shogun killing Strong the Budo - and then himself - would make Psychoman's sacrifice be in vain. [36] He then threatens to fight Akuma Shogun, if Akuma Shogun continues on his current path. In exchange for saving Strong the Budo's life, Akuma Shogun sets down two conditions:

  1. Strong the Budo must never leave the Chojin Graveyard,
  2. The Graveyard must abolish the granting of eternal life to chojin. [36]

Akuma Shogun leaves with Buffaloman and Sunshine, but warns Kinnikuman that a Devil Chojin will always break their promise, and not to trust the peace treaty. [37] Strong the Budo also leaves, but warns that he will continue his quest to destroy all chojin should Kinnikuman and the others ever pose a threat. He proceeds to leave with Nemesis and the other Perfect Chojin that have survived. [37]

Omega Centauri's Six Spears Arc[]

In the Six Spears arc, The Man is locked within his base like the Justice Chojin and Devil Chojin by Satan.

Pirateman reveals that Strong the Budo and the other Perfect Origin slaughtered countless ancient Chojin until the Six Spears' ancestors were forced to flee to the Omega Centauri system. On top of that, Omegaman Aristera revealed that The Man was also indirectly responsible for the fall of Oda Nobunaga's reign by influencing Akechi Mitsuhide and giving him the right advice.

When Justiceman invited Justice Chojin and the Six Spears of Omega Centauri into the chambers of Chojin Enma, The Man explains the origin of the ancestors of the Omega Centauri chojin. According to The Man, these ancestors wanted to become gods, even mastering Magnet Power to further their might. However, they would be punished for having such radical thoughts.

In fact, there was a divide between the Chojin Gods: one that wanted to keep Chojin alive and one that wanted them all dead. The Man headed the faction that wanted them alive, while the God of Harmony led the faction that wanted them all dead.

The Man reminds everyone of the time the Earth was bathed in Capillaria Rays. He saved 10 Chojin that would become the Perfect Origin. The Man gave up his godhood and became a Chojin so he could lead the Perfect Origin by example. Because of how far The Man was willing to go through with his plan, the Chojin he raised would become Perfect Chojin.

When Aristera brings up the ancestors of the Omega Centaurians trying to surpass the gods, The Man notes that their unruly, brutal behavior had disrupted the peace of the Earth. And yet, he's still impressed by their progress. The Omega Centaurian ancestors were proof of the potential that Chojin had all along, even if they didn't fit under The Man's standards for Perfect Chojin. In fact, the ancestors shown The Man that his choice to show Chojin mercy was the right choice all along.

Although The Man decided to purge the Omega Centaurian ancestors, per the other Gods' orders, he allowed them safe passage to the Omega Star Cluster. With that fact, Aristera realizes that The Man tried to save his ancestors. The Man says that he wanted to see the ancestors build another thriving culture. The Man states that his decisions only brought the people of Omega Centauri countless grief, and for that, he would like to apologize to Aristera. The Man's sorry for everything that he's done.

Aristera is brought to tears by that apology. Both Pirateman and Ataru Kinniku note that The Man was really on Omega Centauri's side. The real enemy that all Chojin must face is the God of Harmony. The Five Evil Gods are helping out because of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend principle". Even though the Five Evil Gods tried to usurp the other gods, they knew about the potential of Chojin.

Concerned, Brocken Jr. brings up that nobody's opposing the God of Harmony. What's to stop the God of Harmony from blasting Earth with another round of Capillaria Rays. The Man reveals that the God of Harmony can't because he and the Five Evil Gods have pieces of the Capillaria Ray crystal. Before leaving heaven, The Man proposed that the Gods should carry one piece of the Capillaria Ray crystal, and to use it, they all must agree unanimously. After The Man revealing that his record player contains his piece of the Capillaria Ray crystal, his piece produces a blinding light, hurting the Chojin in the room. As long as the God of Harmony is missing a piece, he won't be able to bathe the universe in Capillaria Rays.

Satan wanted to do everything he can to get The Man's piece because he's an incomplete being that missed his chance at being a god. That's why Satan used the Omega Centaurians in his plan to retrieve The Man's piece. Satan knew their grudge hasn't subsided yet.

Proud for once, The Man notes that the mortal Chojin solved their first crisis through their own strength. That kind of conduct deserves an applause. And for that, Ataru thanks The Man and adds that Justiceman is the real reason why they're at Mon Saint Parfait in the first place. Ataru thinks they're not ready to take on the next challenge out there.

The Man still thinks they're ready, though. The mortal Chojin must face off against the gods themselves as their next challenge. Shocked by the reveal, Kinnikuman, Meat and Brocken Jr. ask if The Man if he's serious about the mortal Chojin fighting the gods themselves. Luckily, the group will only face off against the gods affiliated with the God of Harmony. The mortal Chojin ruined the gods' plans enough to the point where they've become desperate enough to try and attempt to circumvent the Man's checks he had put in place.

Kinnikuman doesn't know how he and the others will fight the gods. Will these Gods possess Chojin like the Five Evil Gods did with their Fated Princes? The Man says they wouldn't resort to that at all. Instead, they'll descend to Earth with physical forms like he did. The Gods will personally make sure that the mortal Chojin will be wiped out. And so, Kinnikuman's group must fight them!

Because of The Man's steep demands, Kinnikuman becomes worried. Seeing as The Man is tough and all, how will Kinnikuman's group fight back against the God of Harmony's faction? It's just impossible, according to Kinnikuman. The Man remains resolute and says that Kinnikuman will find a way. Neptuneman and Nemesis reveal themselves to tell that Kinnikuman must fight for the future of mortal Chojin.

Upon seeing Ataru, Nemesis exchanges a few pleasant words with his grandnephew, observing that he's just like Tatsunori Kinniku. However, Ataru corrects Nemesis. Ataru did run away from home and all. In a sense, Ataru's like Sadaharu. History does repeat itself.

The battle against the Gods isn't being waged by one group. It's being waged by all mortal Chojin. And if they lose, they will be wiped out. Neptuneman doesn't know where the Gods will strike next, but he understands that the Gods will come after the Man's Capillaria Ray crystal piece soon. The group must keep that piece out of the Gods' hands, no matter the cost.

It's not as simple as that. As the Five Evil Gods still possess their pieces in some fashion, they will also be targets for the God of Harmony's faction. The God of Brutality told Ataru all about the God of Harmony's plan in advance. As a result, Meat states that the Fated Princes have become leads for Kinnikuman's group. Aristera reminds everyone of the Six Spears' quest to find Magnet Power and Friendship Power. Even if Aristera knows about Friendship Power, he and the other Six Spears can't activate it all because of their grudge towards The Man.

Kinnikuman states that Aristera can activate Friendship Power. He's seen how the Six Spears have fought and knows that he and Aristera aren't so different after all. The Six Spears only fought for the sake of their friends and their home. Kinnikuman brings up his signature catchphrase and shakes Aristera's hand, confusing the Omega Clan head in the process. Kinnikuman states that he's doing the handshake of friendship, a basic greeting of Justice Chojin. Now that Aristera's come to understand Kinnikuman, he can understand the truth behind Friendship Power.

The Man admits that he and the other Perfect Origin haven't understood Friendship Power completely, and admits that Aristera can bring out Friendship Power to its limits. The Man reveals the Mortier de Pileur, explaining that it extracts power from the Earth and turns it into Chojin power. It can be reversed so that it injects Chojin power back into the planet it's resting on. The Man promises to give Aristera the Mortier de Pileur as a way to atone for his past crimes against Omega Centauri. In order to get the Omega Centaurians' help, The Man must solve their planet's problem first. In response, Aristera and Pirateman swear allegiance to The Man.

Unnamed Arc[]

The Man reveals to Kinnikuman - and those gathered within his room in the Graveyard - that the gods are descending to Earth in physical form, before revealing their first location to the group.[38] After Phoenixman arrives at the location of Big Body, Terryman - and those previously trapped with him in Muscleham Palace - is able to reach the group in the Chojin Graveyard via a television link.[39]

The Man explains he can track the presences of the choushin; he states they must rejuvenate Planet Omega, and so the Omegas must leave wth the Mortier de Pileur, but return later as a reserve force. Neptuneman and Nemesis will remain with him, to protect his capillaria piece, while the others split into groups of two to meet the choushin. He gives them twenty-four hours to prepare, before sending them to their necessary destinations.[39]
