Personality[]

Due his brief appearance in action, little to nothing is known about Watchman's true personality. He seems to be a very cold and mechanical-like individual, giving his way of speech, as well as his not-human face. The anime, on the other hand, gives him a more mocking nature during his fight against Brocken Jr.

Appearance[]

He is a humanoid version of a regular watch, with mechanical-looking legs and arms. His face has the shape of a watch, and the place were his mouth is supposed to be, is instead filled with the hours. 21st Chojin Olympics Arc[]

Representing Switzerland in the new Chojin Olympics, Watchman was one of the many chojin that join this new tournament. Altought unseen, he manage to pass all the preliminary trials, and ended up been one of the finalist to enter the main tournament.

After being sorted by a pachinko machine, Watchman is assigned Brocken Jr., as an opponent during the Block A quarter-finals of the 21st Chojin Olympics. [2] The match takes place in Korakuen Stadium, where he begins with a barrage of blows against Brocken. [3]

During their fight, he takes Brocken into a Sleeper Hold, where he calculates how long it will take for Brocken to fall unconscious, and his face shows a literal countdown to this time. Brocken counters by punching him in the face and breaking his face. Brocken Jr then defeats him with a Camel Clutch, which tears him in half, before he tosses Watchman's head toward Ramenman. [3]

After his apparent death, is then mentioned that he was send to his home country, Switzerland, for repairement, making him unable to say any comments about the competition.

Unlike the manga, were he is torn in half by Brocken Jr.'s Camel Clutch, in the anime he is locked in that same technique, and then gives up. Instead of Brocken Jr. tossing his head against Ramenman, he threw his whole body, and then Ramenman makes him spin in his finger, and ends up throwing him out of the stadium.
