Kinnikuman Big Body (キン肉マンビッグボディ), originally Strongman, is one of the Five Fated Princes (運命の五王子, Unmei no Go Ouji) and the chosen one of the God of Strength.

About[]

Big Body was the largest and physically strongest of the Five Princes, but is quickly defeated by Kinnikuman Super Phoenix.

He returned to fight Gear Master of the Omega Centauri's Six Spears. He put up a much better showing because he's willing to fight this time around and received his hard-earned victory. When Gear Master got crushed by the hidden chandelier of the Forbidden Palace, Big Body made an attempt to save Gear Master, showing that he cares. He even consoles Gear Master when he passes away,

Personality[]

He is presented as a humble and helpful individual, who does not hesitate in helping others with his great strength and big muscles. During his matches, he is also shown to be a little indecisive. He also confesses that he did not care about the throne in the first place, saying he was only there because the God of Strength ordered him.

He thinks that he is not smart nor strategic, and while it is true that most of his techniques are based on his raw strength, he is also shown to be quite perceptive. He is also caring toward his companions, including his team, and even his old rival, Super Phoenix.

Appearance[]

Out of the Fated Princes, he's by far the most physical strong and tallest of them. He wears a pair of blue shoulder pats, as well as light armor pieces in his chest. He has his upper body expose, and his mask covers his entire head, only leaving his eyes visible. His clothes patron is based on blue, white, and mostly pink.

Relationships[]

Team Big Body[]

Big Body carefully selected the members of his team based on their raw strength and powerful appearance. He shows concern when some of them are defeated or killed during matches, genuinely caring for them, and even feeling ashamed for failing them as their captain. The respect is mutual, since his teammates stay loyal to him, even after knowing that he wasn't the true heir of the Kinniku Throne, and are willing to sacrifice their lives for their leader sake.

Kinnikuman Super Phoenix[]

Super Phoenix was the one that defeated and humiliated him after having a rather short fight, leaving Big Body as little more than a joke. Despite this, Big Body doesn't feel bad about it, and have no problems in teaming up with him, even after his humiliation.

History[]

Prehistory[]

Kinnikuman Big Body was born in the same hospital as Kinnikuman and the four other contestants, and because of a fire the six children were possibly mixed up so the identity of the true heir to planet Kinniku is left in doubt. Fearing Kinnikuman's power if he manages to ascend the throne, five gods each chose one of the other potential heirs and gave them massive Chojin power as the Five Princes of Fate. Strongman, who was living in Canada, was chosen by the God of Brute Strength (強力の神, Gouriki no Kami) to be his champion as Kinnikuman Big Body.

Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne arc[]

After Kinnikuman had proven himself worthy to become the next king of his home planet, five evil gods sought out the other potential heirs and gave them great chojin power to become the Five Fated Princes, who all claimed to be the true heir. [1] Big Body was chosen by the God of Brute Strength. [2] A tournament is organised to determine who is worthy of ascending the throne.

Kinnikuman is granted a white cape, which must be stained with the blood of his five opponents, and each of these six potential princes - including Kinnikuman - must forge a team of five people to fight to prove their worth. [3] Big Body is assigned to fight in Aizuwakamatsu Castle, against Super Phoenix in the first round. [4] He watches as three members of his team lose against Mammothman. [5] The match between Cannonballer and Mammothman ends in a draw, leading to Big Body stepping into the ring. [6]

Mammothman threw the match, so that Super Phoenix could fight in his place, and Super Phoenix throws Big Body into the air for an immediate attempt at a Muscle Revenger. [7] Big Body is caught in the lights above by the force of the throw, before - on his descent - being caught in a Perfect Muscle Revenger. [8] This knocks him out, as his head collides with a corner-post, and allows Team Phoenix to advance to the next round. [8]

Omega Centauri's Six Spears Arc[]

Prehistory[]

At the National Chojin Museum, in Tokyo, Kinnikuman Zebra breaks in after hours with Phoenix, Big Body, and Mariposa. [9] They retrieve their old masks, which were encased as part of an exhibit, and proceed to arrive in Barcelona, at the location of the battle between the Justice Chojin and Omega Centauri's Six Spears. [10] They declare themselves envoys of the gods, and - believing the Six Spears to be furthering Satan's plans - they challenge them to fight to the death, while refusing to explain the situation to Kinnikuman. [11]

Phoenix reveals that he has picked five castles for their fights, which are known to the Six Spears. [12] The Four Fated Princes - and Kinnikuman - ascend to the sky, where five ropes appear, to go towards to one of the five castles each. [12] Big Body take the rope that leads him to the Forbidden City in China, where his match is set to be against Gear Master. [13]

Big Body vs. Gear Master[]

Gear Master begins with a series of knee strikes to Big Body. [14] He attempts to use his Genocide Gears, but Big Body is able to force back Gear Master. At first Gear Master underestimates Big Body, as he was the first Fated Prince to lose the Scramble for the Throne tournament, but later he is impressed as Big Body does his best to fight him valiantly. He reveals he has chosen the Forbidden City as the place for the match, as it is home to many royals, and - as Big Body failed to prove his worth as a "royal" - it will be a fitting end of him. [14]

Big Body counters using a Deadly Dive and a Sunset Flip. [15] The two exchange a series of blows, until Gear Master tricks Big Body into trapping his foot inside Gear Master's Genocide Gear, and throws him against the corner post. Gear Master sets Big Body up for a Muscle Revenger, believing it will bring back traumatic memories, but Big Body reveals he was waiting for a chance in life to redo his match and undo his failure, as he uses a Super Strength Atomic Bomb. Gear Master attempts a Hyper Genocide Mode, which seems to overwhelm Big Body. [15]

He traps Big Body's hands, which forces Big Body to use a dropkick to escape, but this is followed by a Body Tackle from Gear Master.[16] Big Body reasserts he has super strength, and demonstrates this with a rolling savate, which leads Gear Master to goad him again with accusations of weakness. Gear Master points up to the skies, where he points to the Yellow Emperor's Star.

It is a star that only reveals itself when someone unworthy steps within the palace grounds. In the past, a mirror would hang in the emperor's room and fall on anyone unworthy that attempted to claim the throne, and the Emperor's Star shall do the same above the ring. The presence of the star disconcerts Big Body, and Gear Master gains the upper-hand. Gear Master attempts to use a German Suplex; Big Body counters with a Stop the Gear, but Gear Master counters with a Reverse Genocide Gears, which traps Big Body's head between his gears.[16]

Gear Master uses an Anti-Kythera Beefcake Processor, but Big Body pulls himself out of the gears.[17] He drives Gear Master into the canvas, before dodging an oncoming attack with a kick to the head, and finally goes behind Big Body to use a Crucifix Back-Breaker. Big Body notices that Gear Master is nervous about the Emperor's Star, where Gear Master laments that he was forced to come to Earth due to the Perfect Origin, and that he will not miss his chance to prove his worth and prove that his people are better than the Perfect Origin (who claimed to be like gods).

Gear Master frees himself from Big Body and throw him overhead, and - after Gear Master attempts a Genocide Gear - Big Body counters his moves by using a Super Strength Exploder Suplex. This does not break Gear Master's gears, and Gear Master mocks Big Body, but Big Body states he still has plans.[17] Big Body states he no longer feels fear, as he uses a Super Strength Jet Torpedo.[18] He creates a tornado of yellow sand, which he forms into a ball, and throws it directly into Gear Master's gears. This stops the gears from turning, as Big Body takes him into a clutch and uses a Maple Leaf Clutch on Big Body. This defeats Gear Master, as Knock rings the gong in Big Body's favour.[18]

The crowd cheers for Big Body, and Gear Masters points to the Emperor's Star above.[19] Gear Master is impressed by Big Body, who did his best to fight him valiantly. In the end, when the Emperor's Star of the Forbidden City Palace (set to crush the loser and denounce him as a fraud) falls over the defeated Gear Master, with his last words expresses sadness about his own fate, with Big Body there to ease his last moments. Big Body tries to save him, but is ultimately unable and curses the gods as being unfair.[19]

He's finally able to avenge his brutal defeat, valiantly fighting against Gear Master, despite being called a fraud and a loser for all the fight. However, he's found to have embraced some of the ideals of the Kinniku Clan, stopping to console Gear Master in his final moments and loudly claiming that the gods were unjust to him, as he would have forgiven the Six Spears for everything they did in the past as soon as they asked.[20]

Unnamed Arc[]

Prehistory[]

When the gods launch their invasion on Earth, Kinnikuman Big Body rushes over to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. Before he runs over there, he blames the God of Strength for causing the gods to come after him.

The God of Harmony makes an announcement. He knows that Kinnikuman Big Body is the chosen one for the God of Strength and that he's fearless, since he's fighting the gods themselves. Upon Big Body calling him the leader of the Gods, the God of Harmony corrects him, revealing the gods are all equal. Even the God of Strength is the same like them.

Big Body is insulted by the comparison and stands up for the God of Strength even if he belongs to the Evil Gods. Even if he's evil, at least the God of Strength doesn't advocate for genocide on the Chojin race. He warned Kinnikuman Big Body about the God of Harmony's faction in time.

Kinnikuman Big Body is clueless about good and evil in this world and thinks it's all too complicated for a guy like him. The God of Harmony thinks that the will of the gods are beyond the understanding of mere mortals. And because of that, the gods are going to make the mortals understand. Chojin are no longer needed by the gods on the mortal plane.

Big Body retorts that he could decide that the gods' jobs are done and that the mortals don't need them hanging around. One of the gods is insulted by this, but the God of Harmony gestures at them and tells them to stand down. The God of Harmony says that the Chojin have convinced the former God of Mercy to stand down from his role of maintaining the world to them. But the God of Harmony says they aren't worthy enough for that, and thus he and the other gods have started the final judgement of the Chojin race.

The God of Harmony argues against The Man and gives his take on the current situation. To the God of Harmony, it's more likely that Chojin are no longer needed by this world. Because of their conflicting viewpoints, the coexistence of Chojin and the Gods are impossible. According to the God of Harmony's companion, the Gods have became Choushin, super gods, and want to claim this plane as their own. And they have the conviction to make that dream possible.

The companion takes off their cloak and reveals himself as the God of Commandments, but the God of Commandments says his new physical body must be called Rampageman. Rampageman points out that their current location is a fitting place for Kinnikuman Big Body to die after a history lesson of the Mausoleum. Rampageman wants Big Body to not hold back against him. As Big Body charges at Rampageman, his wounds induced by Gear Master act up and cause him to stall. Despite these wounds, Big Body will not back down.

Just as Big Body charges at Rampageman again, Pinchman, Golemman and Cannonballer reveal themselves and confront Rampageman. The trio will not let Rampageman hurt their captain. Cannonballer starts off strong with a Cannon Lariat, but Rampageman stops it and throws Cannonballer aside, calling him pathetic. Pinchman moves in with a Pinch Claw, hoping to avenge Cannonballer's loss. Rampageman stops the Pinch Claw in its tracks and bends Pinchman's pincers with no effort. He then impales Pinchman with a Punishment Engraver straight from his chest.

Golemman tackles Rampageman with a Golem Spear. Rampageman kicks him aside, but Golemman catches Rampageman by his legs and follows up with a Golem Giant Swing. Just as Big Body cheers on Golemman, Rampageman breaks free and elbows Golemman in the chest. After Big Body's futile effort at ordering Golemman to run away, Rampageman finishes off Golemman with a Cathedral Bomber.

Disappointed by how easily he defeated them, Rampageman notes that they may not need the Capillaria Rays to wipe out the Chojin race. Rampageman demands that Big Body give him the God of Strength's piece. Big Body tries to play dumb, but Rampageman reveals his piece of the crystal to in an attempt at calling out his bluff. The ploy has loosened Big Body's lips. In an attempt at gathering more info, Rampageman reveals a secret arena in the Mausoleum.

As the God of Strength was Rampageman's former friend, he wants to know why he chose Big Body. And to do that, Rampageman will fight Big Body. All Chojin will keep their promises in the ring, right? Just as Big Body is about to enter the arena, Leopardon steps in and fights Rampageman.

Despite his "humiliating defeat" to Mammothman, Leopardon decides to step in the ring for Big Body. Leopardon's loss to Mammothman has tarnished the image of Kinnikuman Big Body's team. Leopardon has never forgiven his defeat ever since that day. Just before he fights Rampageman, Leopardon begs his leader to give him the signal and Big Body complies. Rampageman observes that Leopardon is a weirdo and asks Big Body to step in the ring.

Even knowing that he will lose against Rampageman, Leopardon puts up a good fight. The fight ends with Leopardon getting impaled with a Punishment Engraver. With this victory, Rampageman orders that Leopardon must leave the ring and rot with his fellow Team Big Body members. Despite this, Leopardon clings onto the ring ropes and says that he won't leave the ring. He pathetically flops back into the ring.

Rampageman asks if Kinnikuman Big Body has any more teammates hidden in the tomb somewhere, but Big Body retorts that there's no one left. He's the only one still standing, no thanks to Rampageman being an asshole. Rampageman proceeds to torture Leopardon with his Choshin powers in order for Big Body to cough up the locations of the Capillaria Ray crystal pieces. As it turns, Rampageman chose to leave Leopardon alive for that purpose only. And if Kinnikuman Big Body refuses, Rampageman will kill Pinchman, Golemman and Cannonballer as well before Big Body gets killed too.

Just as Kinnikuman Big Body is ready to step into the ring, all of Big Body's team apologizes for their past mistakes. To show that he cares for them, Big Body kicks Leopardon out of the ring and finally steps in. Rampageman notes that Big Body's stubbornness was a reason why the God of Strength chose him in the first place. Big Body admits that Chojin are quite stupid than the gods think. Just as they get ready to fight, Kinnikuman Super Phoenix appears on a nearby monitor and tells Big Body to stop.

Kinnikuman Super Phoenix reveals that he knows where the Capilliaria pieces are located. Just as the God of Harmony's faction leaves, Big Body sarcastically thanks Super Phoenix for the time Mammothman destroyed Big Body's team and for potentially dooming the Chojin world. Luckily, Super Phoenix reveals that he has a job for Big Body somewhere else.

God Selected vs Mighty Hercules[]

As it turns out, Super Phoenix wants Big Body to act as his tag-team partner in Rome. There is still an unguarded piece, and with Omegaman Dexia's death, Super Phoenix wants Big Body to fill in for him. Once the Choushin arrive in the Colosseum, Super Phoenix proposes that the Choushin will get the pieces after a tag-team match. Super Phoenix steps up first to fight the Choushin.

Ideaman waits with the God of Harmony and the Notorious at the colosseum in Rome.[21] Kinnikuman Super Phoenix and Kinnikuman Big Body agree to fight them in a two-on-two match; the winner of said match will get to keep two capillaria pieces. Ideaman agrees to fight alongside the Notorious.[21] Big Body begins with an attack against Ideaman.[22]

Phoenix seems distracted by the television monitor, which shows the end of the Mammothman fight, and this distracts Big Body, allowing Ideaman to land a rapid succession of chops. Big Body falls back, allowing Phoenixman to tag into the match. Phoenixm enters a lock-up with Ideaman, until Ideaman attempts a side-suplex. He introduces himself as Ideaman: the God of Reason. Phoenix attacks with a Phoenix Stretch, but Ideaman counters by leaping into the air and using a Hercule Suplex with the Notorious. The Notorious introduces himself as the God of Madness. [22]

Big Body switches to take the place of Phoenix, and the Notorious switches with Ideaman; the Notorious uses a somersault kick against Big Body. [23] He follows his attack with a White-Tiger Spin-Kick against Big Body, and the Mighty Hercules use a Figure-Four Tiger-Claw Crush on him. This slices open the side of Big Body's mask, and causes Phoenix to rush into the ring. Ideaman kicks away Phoenix, while the Notorious kicks away Big Body. This knocks the God Selected down.[23] Kinnikuman arrives at the Colosseum, but the God Selected ignore him. [24]

Big Body launches a double-lariat on the Might Hercules, but they counter with roundhouse kicks. The Notorious uses a Sabre Tiger Suplex, before tagging in Ideaman, who uses an Idea Twister, but Big Body breaks free with a Kangaroo Kick. The Mighty Hercules use a Parasite Storm, which strikes both Phoenix and Big Body. The slew of injuries causes Phoenix to criticise Big Body, and Big Body to lash out by striking at Phoenix. He states he will fight alone, unless Phoenix starts to respect him.[24]

Big Body charges in head-first, only to be struck again by the Mighty Hercules.[25] Kinnikuman advises Phoenix that - while right - he must consider Big Body's feelings, in order to persuade Big Body to listen to him. After a series of exchanged blows, Phoenix jumps into the ring; he uses a neck-breaker drop on the Notorious, which helps to free Big Body from the tag-team and downs the Notorious. Phoenix apologises to Big Body, before they take Ideaman and the Notorious respectively into two holds. They use an Oklahoma Avalanche Crash.

Ideaman grabs both of the God Selected, before using a Real Twin DDT with the Notorious.[25] This downs the God Selected, which triggers a countdown.[26] They rise on the count of three, but Ideaman strikes at both Big Body and Phoenix; Phoenix counters with a rolling savate. He proceeds to defend himself using the Muscle Curtain, which gives Big Body the chance to intervene. Phoenix leaves the ring, while Ideaman and the Notorious also switch. Phoenix switches back into the match, as he drop-kicks the Notorious.

The Notorious uses a Sabre Tiger Dentes on Phoenix. This knocks Phoenix down, and so Ideaman switches back into the ring. Ideaman has let down his guard, and so Phoenix launches a surprise counter attack.[26] Phoenix uses the Muscle Revenger.[27] Ideaman uses a Hardness Level 10: Diamond, which stops him from being killed; Phoenix anticipated this, as it was part of his plan to damage Ideaman's inner ears, not to kill him. The Mighty Hercules are now unable to use Parasite Storm. Phoenix uses a Death Valley Bomb, countered by the Notorious' Sabre Tiger Dentes.

Big Body knocks away the Notorious, saving Phoenix, meanwhile the Notorious grows frustrated at Ideaman and refuses to work alongside him. He uses a Notorious Twin Beheading on the tag-team.[27] He uses a Sabre Tooth Dentes on Big Body, until using the same attack on Phoenix, and Big Body retaliates with a Tiger Suplex.[28] Ideaman dives into the ring to save the Notorious, leading to the Notorious being slammed upon him. Ideaman and the Notorious argue about his self-sacrificing act, as the Notorious maintains it is better to be selfish.

The Mighty Hercules prepare for their Real Twin DDT, but the God Selected break free from their holds.[28] Phoenix grabs Ideaman in a Muscle Revenger, as Big Body grabs the Notorious in a Maple Leaf Clutch, and the two dock their moves together to use a new tag-team move: Pinnacle Combination.[29] This lead directly into their God Bless Revenger. This move instantly defeats the Mighty Hercules. Ideaman cryptically reveals - before he loses consciousness - whether the choushin destroy the chojin depends entirely upon the chojin.[29]
